Yan Bello Méndez, PMP is an international consultant, speaker, trainer and coach. His professional mission is to provide great value to individuals and organizations by assisting them in improving their capabilities and effectiveness.
His extensive consulting and project management experience includes projects in different areas such as organizational change-leadership, strategy and general management, business process improvement, business development, systems development and software engineering, management and work methodologies, BPR, event design and organization, virtual-global distributed team leadership, establishing and growing competency communities, among others.
These cross-functional activities have been enriched with an ongoing multi-cultural and international exposure for over a decade. Having leaded, work and/or studied with people from more than 40 countries, Yan Bello excels in dealing with diversity and multicultural engagements.
Yan Bello is continuously creating new opportunities for growth, development and improvement for his clients. His consulting and training services has contributed to organizations such as banks, financial institutions, public administrations, steel and manufacturing companies, educational institutions (college, universities), consulting firms, energy companies (nuclear, gas, electrical), IT and telecommunications companies, infrastructure development, and non-profit associations.

Yan Bello has been actively involved in the Project Management Institute (PMI®) activities, volunteering as a member of the PMBOK® Guide 2004 Update Project Team being recognized as a ‘significant contributor’. He was also a reviewer of “The Standard for Program Management”. He was featured in PM Network July 2004 issue, in a sidebar included in the article “Rise to greatness” about PM maturity models. He has been the PMBOK® Guide 3rd Edition Spanish (Castilian) Edition TVC Chairman.
Yan Bello is a frequent speaker in international congresses and conferences, such as PMI Global Congresses. He is the author of several original training courses on Effective Project Management, Successful Consulting Skills, Personal Leadership and Time Management Skills and Software Project Management, among others, which he regularly delivers. He has researched and presented papers based on his experiences in effective organizational consulting. Some of these presentations have featured the clients themselves as co-presenters, a definitive sign of client satisfaction and effective results.
Yan Bello is the first Spanish-speaking person authorized by the Carnegie Mellon University – Software Engineering Institute as an Instructor for the People CMM® and as SCAMPI Lead Appraiser for the People CMM®. Yan Bello also collaborates with the Carnegie Mellon - SEI as "Visiting Scientist".
